My husband's EAD was approved last week. I filed both the EADs (for me and him) together in July (Receipt Date: July 30th). My application has no LUD so far. His EAD was approved last week. This is just weird. When both the applications were filed together why look at one and not look at the other?

Is Lin for Lincoln, NB or something like that? Is one I-140 and the other I-485?
LIN is the prefix of the id number given to your application if you are applying to Nebraska service center, like WAC is for the california service center. it might possibly mean Lincoln,Nebraska.
I believe all 485(along with 765 and 131) applications should go to Nebraska service center after the bispecilization rule became effective. Not sure where the 140 application should go to though.

I called my attorney today to inquire about this and he told me that one-third to one-fourth of the applications that he has filed in July are yet to receive the FP notices and he asked me not to worry about it.
Hope he is true and that we will be getting the FP notices soon.

No FP yet... NSC Received Date July 12, 2007 - Notice Date TSC Sept. 10, 2007. All in all, almost 6 months and no sign of a biometrics appointment... bummer.

Very well written. We need this kind of language material to present to our friends. You got my contribution. How do I donate $20? I don't see tab for that money on page. Minimum for one time contribution I see is $100. Also is there any way that I do not have to use paypal and directly use my cc to pay?

So we surely need some convincing on part of IV. This post I see is right step. I need some more info to present to my friends, as to why they should contribute. That would be perfect.

If the Dems win control of the Senate, I expect no major changes for us. The amnesty bills are already passed easily in the Senate as is anyway. That doesn't change anything for us there.
In the House, this will be a close race. Even if Dems barely win in the House, what is less likely, then they may well find themselves struggling again to get major votes for the amnesty bills. Remember that the amnesty bills got rejected in the House by large margin - and - enforcement only bills got approved there widely. Our stand alone SKULL bill - not sure whether that will be considered by Democrats. Democrats will probably address the Dream Act before they take over the SKULL bill. Let them pass Dream Act, and then we, the Employment Base applicants will be in a real dream for a long time.
It won't be easy, folks.

:eek: As expected and as many posters said it would, all of EB3 including ROW is now screwed.. due to the change in visa allocation of over flow, july 07 fiasco and adhoc namecheck 90 provision, nothing against the ones who benefited from this.... ROW might see some progress but EB3 I/C are screwed big time....yes long live USCIS indeed...there is no hope for EB3 as a whole without a recapture provision.

Guys wake up and fight to make the porting rules very strong if not stop porting. The rule should be if I140 for porting is denied then the applicant should loose his/her initial EB3 priority date also as he /she has indicated that he/she is no longer working in the position as described in EB3 labor. This will make sure that fraudulent applicants cannot port from EB3 to EB2.

There are many genuine cases, who could have applied in EB2, but due to some erroneous counsel by employer or legal, ended up in EB3 category. Having an option to port PD when applying under alternate category is available, and people eligible taking advantage of this should be allowed to do it and encouraged. Given the market condition, if some one could qualify under EB2 and successfully secure a EB2 labor/I-140, then it must be welcomed and only genuine cases could do so. People with EB3 PD of 2001 or 2002 and waiting for GC might already have worked one or two years prior to starting the process and might be in country working for almost a decade and some even have done their Masters and have the experience. With all this, if they take advantage of this, then they deserve it. I am not able to understand your concern, and also expecting/requesting the porting process to be stopped !! Does not sound right.

For me, since my 140 was approved in TSC, my attorney sent 485 to TSC.
