I searched immigrationportal.com and only found few than three cases in the last three months about H1B denial. The number does not seem to be unusually high to me.

How current is the online status on this uscis website ?
I check it every day ..
For my husband, even though it said card production ordered, the tier 1 customer service said that it was still pending.
But still he got his card, then only after a few days, the cust service also said the same status..
anybody faced this ambiquity with customer service ?

My 485 application was filed with NSC on June 4th, 2007. I know it is too early to expect receipt notice.
Who will receive the original approval notice?. Attorney or me?. Who will receive the FP notice?.

The morons taking the high moral ground need to make a reality check. let me state that i came here on F1 did my master's and got a job. so i'm not one of those sleazy guys who bent the rules according to these morons.
there is no one ready to give u a job if u dont have a GC or a EAD or OPT or u go through a consultant. These guys should know that first. Everyone does apply through a body shopper which is not right.. but is there a way out...

They almost always take some kind of FPs. What I mean is that there are 3 biometrics codes. Code 3 is the most comprehensive, where they take your photo, signature and all ten fingers FP. Check your notice in the upper right corner, there should be a box that says "Code".
I always used to think (and still think) why they would issue different FP codes to different applicants even though they are all applying for same 485 petition?
Do different codes have different relevance?

All mine and my spouse's applications were transfered to Vermont. my I-140 was approved from TSC. My checks were cashed on July17th and that is how I know that it is pending at VSC.
Yesterday I got an email that Card production ordered for EAD. All applications applied on July 6th. I am not sure on what basis they transfered. But it looks like Vermont has started approving the EAD cards. Hopefully, I will get it soon too in the mail.

It is indeed ugly and disgusting that anyone who talks of doing good to EB3 ends up getting reds. IV should remember that EB3 members outnumber EB2's by a vast margin and they deserve to get justice too
And it is not as if EB3's are less qualified. Most are as much or more qualified and experienced than EB2's. It is just an accident they are in EB3, as companies put them there when there was no difference in USCIS policy between the two
If I continue to see the treatment meted out to EB3's in these forums I would take the decision to quit IV..

I have postponed my finger prints when I was in India back in Oct 2007, and I haven't got yet, should I ask them send it again or should I wait untill they send it to me.
I heared some where in the forum that when your comeback to India they took fingerprints at the prot of entry and that is sufficient.

That lawsuit Idea is still very much alive but not relevant to this. Plus that idea will take some time. I also don't beleive I had been unethical.
The bottomline, you would agree, the reason we all are lurking on this forum is to get our GC. I can assure you and the other core members of one thing, I will not do anything which is I beleive is unethical on not within the boundaries of the law.
The other day you spent the entire day answering every question(s) people had. I even told my wife that our good friend is going to take all our worries out pretty soon. EB2 will no longer going accept porting so we will go faster and then guess what you didn't even file the law suit yet....you let us down!!
I have a humble suggestion for you, please concentrate on your work and read some books on ethics and leave the GC processing to CIS.

The answer to your question is: Nothing. They may be waiting, because of many reasons like, they are scared, do not care, there are other opportunities, tired of this immigration crap, lack of enough knowledge regarding their rights.
Now, I do not think the onus correcting such mistakes is 100% on the EAD folks' shoulders. I remember reading how slavery ended in this country. Slavery died, not because the black people fought for the abolition of slavery; slavery ended when the white man realized that slavery is wrong.
Based on the same logic, I would say that the job of stopping discrimination against EAD/H1B etc. is mainly the responsibility of Citizens and GC holders. It is their country; it is up to them to fix it.
My question is -
what are these "1000s of folks" doing? Are they waiting for someone else to work for their cause?
If they believe they were wronged, they need to take action. Without any action, nothing is going to happen.
And, yes, these is discrimination on the both side of the lines. Have you looked at the hiring practices of leading desi outsourcing/consulting companies in the US?

One of my friends was a plaintiff in the lawsuit that you mention. As you mention, USCIS quickly approved all cases. So didn't the plaintiffs won the case?
I hope our potential lawsuit will have a similar effect. We file a lawsuit saying we are discriminated based on country of birth. USCIS opposes the lawsuit, but quickly approves all our 485s. We both win in that situation.
I would be happy if EB2 India gets upto Dec04. Forget EB3. Also any lawsuit is only sustainable only if its properly funded, well represented and there is wide public support if you expect the class action status. Mr Rajiv Khanna filed a lawsuit for 485 backlogs and its class action status was denied by the judge which I personally think was a biased judge and later USCIS quickly approved 485s of plaintiffs making lawsuit moot.
