Hmm... I didn't know about AIR issues you mentioned.. ;( On PC it works great, and people at Adobe (as I can see on videos) use Mac OS as their primary OS.
AIR on Linux is in beta, and it�s no question why. It�s a second-class citizen.
btw considering Mono... We had an ASP.NET app that had to be ported to Linux.. We did it with Mono, but... there were huge problems with memory leaks.. So colleague had to rewrite it completely in PHP.. So, my (bad) experience tells me not to use .NET on Linux... Perhaps they fixed it though? Ugh, somehow I don't believe that Microsoft cares for any other OS but its own.. ?

Lets not despair about lack of support from other organizations. We have 10K+ members now. We are gaining momentum. It won't be long before these organization come to us for support. Given the presidential election looming on the horizon, maybe some of the candidates will need endorsement from us, maybe not, who knows. Lets use this time to meet the lawmakers and educate them about our issues.
I recently called a Senate office and told them about my support for the STRIVE bill in the House and to seek their support for a similar bill in Senate. The staff members had no idea about STRIVE bill. I send them more info. they were willing to understand provided we spend the time. Now we are meeting them in person to highlight our issues in more detail. This is the best way to help ourselves. In the end, if your have to get some thing done you have to get involved. According to my attorney, if you are in valid H1 status, your wife can get her H4 stamped, reenter on an H4 and still maintain her GC application. Once she comes back, she can go back to work on her EAD and transition into I-485 pending status.

Hi,
There are 2 processing centers - Atlanta and Chicago...but all the audited cases can be processed only at Atlanta, i.e chicago audited cases will be transferred to Atlanta....
I believe there is only one processing center for PERM now. Only Atlanta is doing the PERM processing. All cases are trasfered to atlanta from chicago. Thats what I heared from Ron Gocher.

Called 6 different operators at the USCIS and got different answers (atleast they are consistently inconsistent!)
2 Said it is perfectly fine as long as the amount is correct
3 said they prefer seperate checks but if the amount is correct they will accept it
1 said they will reject the whole package.
On a lighter note i spoke to one really sweet lady when my call was escalated. All i wanted to ask was about the checks, but she (very enthusiastically) looked up my information and informed me that i was not in the system yet and actually apologised to me. Now i KNOW she looked it up coz she got my middle and company names right even without my telling her that. She even said she has received a few calls today and the guy b4 me was a lucky caller as he was in the system as of Aug 8.

1) if quarterly soillover is a law and USCIS not doing it they are doing something against the law so we can file a lawsuit against it but again how can we prove that they are not doing quarterly spillover.
USCIS says its happening......
2) If USCIS doesnt use full numbers assigned for Green Cards and waste them you can again sue them for that but will it be succesfull or not that has to be researched.
USCIS has not wasted visas in the past two years............
3) That H1b employee - employer relation memo is a best example to file a lawsuit against them as there interpratation of the law was completely wrong but noone did it.
I read somewhere about the memo being withdrawn for more review.............
Finding a judge who will be favorable to our cause, priceless!!

When did you get this stamping done for H1B revalidation (did you make this trip to Halifax recently?)?

This process may take an additional 2 to 3 workdays, creating a minimum 4 workday turnaround for such applicants. This confirmation is beyond our control and cannot be waived. I have applied for 485 on July 23rd. Received EAD and AP but I have not received Finger Printing notice so far. I tried calling the 1800** number but could only hear the recorded message.
My case was indeed transferred from California to Texas on September 20th.

i think the answer in my case is yes.
You have noble intentions and I salute your spirit but it does not make practical sense to try and raise $1M when on the other thread, we have not even touched $15K!! At least, this will not happen with a donations only campaign. If a corporate were to sponsor, thats a different thing..
Again, I think all (ok, most!) the members would donate $2000 if there was assurance/certainty of positive outcome. A lot of people are sitting on the sidelines, hoping for a positive outcome, without contributing time and/or money.
People, please contribute time and money towards IV to help yourselves!
